The Quail Ridge Ranch is primarily gently rolling with some

brush. The main forage grasses are blue and side oats gramma,
buffalo grass, vine mesquite grass, and some tabosa. There
is a large ridge of hills the rises along the center of the

and groves of salt cedars along the banks of the 80 acre
Coyote Lake. Coyote Lake is an alkaline lake that winters
over 40,000 Sandhill Cranes and other waterfowl when it

harbors Mule Deer and there has been a 203 & a 181 B&C buck
taken off the ranch. The ranch also offers Prairie dog
hunting which is fun during the off season or for simply
