Size: 1,000 acres King County
Location: Located in Southeast King County just off of HWY 222 between Knox City and Guthrie Texas.
Terrain: The Wilson Ranch is a wonderful North Texas recreational ranch loaded with beautiful views, excellent high and low-fence hunting, and offers a turn-key camp with a super nice furnished Rock Lodge and extra living area. There are approximately 900 under high fenced acres with well managed hunting in place, as well as 100 low fence acres across the county road that joins large acreages.  Elevation changes on the Wilson Ranch range in excess of 225 feet, with multiple vantage points offering towering views of the several food plots below, the scenic countryside, and the main lodge camp area.   Cedar and mesquite primarily cover the hillsides and rougher terrain of the property, while the rolling cleared areas and  bottom land draws have mixed grasses growing throughout.  The owner has been managing the ranch by selectively clearing certain areas of the ranch to enable more grass to grow and provide a better source of food for all sorts of wildlife.  Wilson Ranch also has several ponds and pools of water scattered across the property, including some that very small but have good depth to them. There are a couple that in rainy years will be fairly good size. Most of the ponds hold water year round and are frequently visited by all sorts of wildlife. An excellent interior road system makes travelling the entire ranch by vehicle possible and the most common used roads have been heavily graveled providing easy wet weather access.  The lodge is nestled at the end of a gravel road a good ways back into the ranch on a hill and is very private.  Views are fabulous from the massive plateaus and high points on the ranch and it is common to view wildlife grazing the food plots and grass land below.  Part of the ranch's natural beauty are the natural rock features and layers that are great for exploring and hiking trails.  A horse pen and covered area for stock allows the owner to house horses on site for trail riding or other horseback adventures. Wilson Ranch is also well equipped for pen raising quail, with a nice ready to go pen at the headquarters.  The habitat on the ranch is prime for quail and although there are some wild quail remaining on the ranch, this facility makes it easy to supplement the population and add to the enjoyment of quail hunting. I also added Water Trailer to equiptment list.
